Audi has given its Q3 SUV range a light going-over for the 2017 model-year, with a styling refresh and a new variant among the changes.
For next year, Q3 Sport model buyers will have less trouble distinguishing their cars from regular Q3s in the carpark as the sport picks up a slightly more aggressive design.
A new front-end for the Q3 Sport brings larger outer air intakes with diamond pattern inserts, along with a body-coloured blade beneath the centre inlet and a ‘Single-frame’ grille finished in Stone Grey.
Staying with the sport theme, and the new variant for 2017 is the Audi Q3 S-line Competition. The Competition adds the aforementioned S-line styling cues along with high-gloss black air intakes and black trim on the wheel arches, door trim strips, roof rails, exterior mirror housings and the window slot trim.
The roof edge spoiler is also finished in gloss black, while the interior sports combined leather and fabric electric sports seats, stainless steel pedals, piano black finishes and plenty of S-line logos. Alcantara and Nappa leather trim packages are on the options list.
Manual Q3 models get a combined leather and aluminium gear knob, but these are highly unlikely to make it to Australia.
The Q3 S-line Competition is finished with 19-inch alloy wheels and, for overseas markets at least, a choice of any engine from the regular Q3 line-up.
Otherwise, the 2017 Q3 range sees the addition of Camouflage Green to the list of available paint finishes, replacing Tundra Brown.
Australian timing and pricing for the 2017 Audi Q3 is unclear at this stage – stay tuned to TMR for more.
