Audi A6 facelift launched on WhatsApp
Audi has become the first automaker in the country to officially launch a model – the updated A6 – over a video on popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp. The facelifted Audi A6 is priced at Rs 49.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available only in fully loaded S-line variant.
The most notable change to the facelifted A6 is the inclusion of Matrix LED headlamps. The front grille is now more prominent while the front bumper has also been restyled. On the flanks, the car gets re-styled side skirts while at the back, it gets revised tail-lamps, a tweaked rear bumper along with redesigned exhausts. The facelift also gets the addition of a chrome strip along the lower edge of the boot-lid. The car also gets the addition of dynamic turn indicators as with the RS7.
Inside, the A6 facelift gets an updated infotainment system with voice activation, handwriting recognition and remote control for the rear seat passengers. There’s also four-zone climate control, a Bose Surround Sound System and now, the front passenger seat can be moved forward by the rear passenger with the push of a button. The A6 facelift also gets eight airbags.
The Audi A6 facelift draws power from a 187.74bhp, 2.0-litre TDI diesel motor mated to an seven-speed automatic gearbox. It rivals the likes of the BMW 5-series, Mercedes-Benz E-class and Jaguar XF.
