Audi debuts new A8 L 4.0T Sport for 2016
Audi is rolling out a new A8 L 4.0T Sport model for the 2016 model year. The new model is intended to give the luxury-minded A8 an added dose of performance.
The 4.0L twin-turbo V8 beneath the hood of the A8 L 4.0T Sport has been massaged to generate an extra 15 horsepower, bringing total output to 450 horsepower. To go along with that added power Audi has also added a few more muscular design cues, including a revised front bumper, wider rocker panels and a reshaped rear bumper.
The A8 L 4.0T Sport comes standard with 20-inch 5-double spoke wheels. Two other 20-inch wheel designs will also be on offer. Buyers can also select a set of 21-inch wheels shod in summer tires.
The Sport treatment includes Audi’s Executive and Luxury packages, meaning passengers will enjoy 22-way power seats with ventilation and massage functions. The package also includes diamond-stitched Valcona leather seats, an Alcantara headliner and a panoramic sunroof.
The A8 Sport will ship standard with head-up display, navigation and Audi side assist. Adaptive cruise control will be available for an extra cost.
The 2016 Audi A8 L 4.0T Sport will carry a base MSRP of $90,500, which doesn’t include a $925 destination charge.
