Audi gives us flamboyant teasers for the 2017 A5 Coupe image
The Ingolstadt-based automaker has decided to kick off the teasing game ahead of the reveal of the all new generation 2017 A5 Coupe, though the first pictures have no useful information.
The Internet is roaring with numerous spy shots of the camouflaged prototypes of the next generation Audi A5 and it appears the spy photographers worked their magic for nothing. What they gave us is what the automaker is also delivering – fully camouflaged vehicles. We all know these teasers shouldn’t reveal anything and still be enticing, but the camouflage pattern makes our eyes sore after just a couple of seconds. Anyways, we already know Audi is playing it safe and the A5 will come with a “glorious” evolutionary design. We can also imagine the A5 will borrow cues from the recent A4 generation, making it hard to differentiate one from the other if you see it from the front.
The all new A5 is going to subtly grow in size compared to the predecessor, meaning the cabin will be even more spacious, with the most positive impact on the rear passengers. It makes the jump to the MLB Evo architecture and that means a huge diet that will come with significant weight loss, the actual kilos being of course dependant on the engine version. The latter will come directly from the A4, including that new turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 sitting inside the S5 and delivering most likely 354 horsepower (260 kilowatts) and 369 pound-feet (500 Newton meters).
