Audi will launch at least three electric vehicles by 2020 said company’s CEO Rupert Stadler. More than that, the German car manufacturer officials told that EVs will account for 25 to 30 percent of its sales by 2025.
As you can imagine, the new plan also sees investing in new digital services and autonomous driving technologies. As a result, Audi will develop a new subsidiary that will work on self-driving vehicles. It will be named SDS Company and might work cooperatively with other companies from the business.

“This is about a robot car that may not even need a steering wheel or pedals, so it’s ideal for urban traffic,” explained Stadler.
“We have discussed what would happen if we dropped the two-door version of the A3. I think we would barely lose any customers. We’d rather invest the money that is freed up in new models and other derivatives”, added the German official.
