New Audi Q2 Will Definitely Be A Hit, Says This Review

Audi’s new baby SUV is now ready to enter one of the busiest segments on the market but is it any good?

CarWow’s Mat Watson says that despite its polarizing looks, the new Audi Q2 is definitely made out of best-seller material as people these days can’t get enough compact SUVs, especially the ones with a more premium badge on them.

Since the Q2 is Audi’s entry-level crossover, it wouldn’t be fair to expect the exact same premium quality with its bigger siblings due to cost-cutting, but it’s still good enough to maintain the company’s reputation in that field.

Measuring 4.19 meters (13.7 ft) long, 1.79 meters (5.9 ft) wide, 1.51 meters (5.0 ft) tall and with a 2.60 meters (8.5 ft) wheelbase, the new Audi Q2 has just the right size to offer descent interior room combined with compact exterior dimensions.

Driver’s assistance systems include an automatic emergency braking system, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, traffic jam assist, lane-departure warning system, lane-keeping assistant, traffic sign recognition and parking and cross-traffic rear assist.

There is also a wide range of engines to choose from, including the entry-level 113hp (115PS) 1.0-liter three-cylinder TFSI petrol, the 148hp (150PS) 1.4-liter TFSI petrol and the 113hp (115PS) 1.6-liter TDI diesel. A six-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard, with the brand’s seven-speed S-Tronic transmission offered as an option.

It may look like VW Polo’s uglier cousin from behind but let’s admit it, this won’t stop people from flooding Audi’s dealerships.
