One of the company’s largest sellers that’s helped it reach such heights is the Q5, Audi’s best selling Q model. Given the profitability of luxury SUVs, it was imperative that Audi got the next generation Q5 right. To find out, Auto Express took one to Mexico to test it under the hot sun.

The conclusion? Well, unfortunately, not too good. In no way does that mean that the new Q5 is bad, but according to the review, there’s nothing that really stands out about the SUV. Riding on the company’s new MLB Evo platform, the new Q5 is smooth and quiet, making it easy to live with. Audi’s notorious skillset in building an ergonomic interior is apparent inside the cabin, and all of it amounts to an unexciting personality that needs a bit of life. According to Auto Express, the BMW X3 and Porsche Macan (and we can only assume the Jaguar F-Pace applies to this list) are more fun to drive. But that’s okay for Audi, it will still probably outsell the competition, X3 included, by a decent margin.
