Watch the Audi Q2 Cruise Around Cuba

The Audi Q2 is coming to showrooms in Europe this fall and the brand has released this video of it going for a stroll among the classics of yesteryear in the capital of Cuba.

The Q2 is a compact SUV (sometimes also described as a mini SUV) that measures 4.19 meters (13.7 ft) long, 1.51 meters (5.0 ft) tall and 1.79 meters (5.9 ft) wide; with a wheelbase of
2.60 meters (8.5 ft).

At launch it will come with an offering of six different powerplants ranging in output from 116 hp to 190 hp. The gasoline units will come in the guise of a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TFSI, as well as 1.4-liter and 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI engines. Transmissions will be a choice between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed, double-clutch S-tronic. The Q2 will also be offered Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.

No news on whether or when the Q2 will make it to North American showrooms but it appears Audi is already planning an SQ2 variant, according to Auto Express. The Ingolstadt-based premium brand wants to get a sport version of the Q2 to market by 2018.

An SQ2 variant is likely to share technical goodies from the Audi S3, as the Q2 already comes with the Progressive Steering system found in the S3. A 2.0-liter twin-turbo unit with around 250 hp is probably where the SQ2 will be slated power-wise, while a randier RS Q2 will come later, likely with a 2.0-liter twin-turbo engine dialed up to around 305 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque as in the TTS.
